We used a scientific food analyzer to measure the true Scoville Heat Units of the infamous “One Chip Challenge.” While it’s marketed with Carolina Reaper powder (2.2 million SHU), what is the actual heat level of the chip you eat? We prepared a precise sample, diluted it, and ran it through the Food Sense Gen 4 sensor. The result was a definitive, data-backed Scoville rating that reveals the truth behind the hype. Spoiler: it’s not 2 million. We then did the taste test to confirm the findings. This is the chip challenge, solved by science.
