Temperature control of stirred solutions

Temperature control of stirred solutions

Uncategorized

At ZP many of engineers live in the lab, and so we understand the performance of standard lab equipment. Something known by us and our collegues in other organizations is that a standard lab stirrer plate stirrers can get hot during use, and this heat can transfer to the solution being stirred; what is rarely known is the temperature rise in these solutions caused by the stirrer. In the adjacent data we can now answer  the question, 'what happens to the temperature of a stirred aquesous solution?'. The answer ' 9 degC'.
