ZP is a very experienced team of independent developers and manufacturers of technologies for diabetes, including SMBG, CGM and HbA1c sensors.
HbA1c is the most common way of measuring your average glucose level over a two to three month period and is a blood test where your HbA1c is measured. The HbA1c value reflects the time in range for a diabetic, for example ‘how much of the time the diabetic is within range of 5 mM (90 mg/dL) A HbA1c concentration of 48 mmol/mol (6.5 %) or below indicates is equivalent to the diabetic being in range 80 % of the time.

HbA1c is reflecting the glucose over the last few months, but with access to continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology the CGM can also be used to calculate time in range, and so the metric time in range is a real time measurement of glycaemic control, whilst HbA1c is a more retrospective metric.
