ZP will be speaking at MEMS and Sensors Technical Conference – MSCT 2023. ZP will be talking at 11 AM on the 24 May 2023.

Title: Wearable and Implantable Sensor Commercialization – Trials and Tribulations

Abstract: In this talk ZP will discuss the successes and failures of wearable and implanted biosensors. The list of risks to any wearable or implantable programme are never simply science and engineering, and the additional risks include: business, case, regulatory, financing, human resource, competitors and the ‘unknown unknowns’.

In this talk ZP will give examples of, and strategies for, dealing with the knowable and unknowable risks in Wearable and Implantable Sensor Commercialization. The case studies, strategies and tactics discussed are both based on the historical record and ZP’s first-hand experience across multiple wearable and implantable sensor programmes.

Speaker: Dr Martin Peacock is an industrial bioelectrochemist with over twenty years of biosensor experience, having had industrial roles from Abbott Diabetes to GSK, and solving technical challenges from continuous glucose monitoring to RNA analysis.  In recent years Martin has set-up biosensor focused companies across the globe from Silicon Valley California to Oslo Norway.

At Zimmer and Peacock, we are now distilling our experience into providing a turnkey solution to accelerate our collaborators from their research in the lab to products shipping from the loading bay at the factory.  Zimmer and Peacock achieves this acceleration by providing a range of products and services including: sensors, electronics, apps, laboratory testing, Cloud databases, IP generation and turnkey manufacturing.
