This workshop series is being run by the FMHLS Enterprise, Partnerships and Innovation and is supported by The Higher Education Funding Council Wales (hefcw).
The workshop is the third in the series and aims to deep dive, giving relatable detail of how a research project evolves through translational technology development – aimed at a scientist’s perspective.
Sessions will deep dive into areas including: –

– Technology Readiness Levels
– Technology Transfer & translational research
– Quality management & regulatory affairs
– Prototype development & user engagement
– Intellectual property
– Entrepreneurship – start-ups, spinouts & spin-ins from university research
– Business scaling
– Business Financing
The workshop brings together a mix of experienced professionals from different stages of product development and business set-up to provide in-depth knowledge and discussion of translational research and development and how technology moves towards commercialisation. Attendees will have the chance to engage with experts, more informally, who have been there and done it, receiving help and advice on their journey towards translational research and innovation.
