A weekly webinar from ZP answering technical questions that have come in during the week. All answers are anonymised and there is no need to watch live as the webinar is recorded.

Question this week

Question One – copper cadmium and zinc detection and quantification

Question Two – We are looking to design an insert that fits into a 16mm dia. well, has two gold electrodes of ~1-4 mm^2, one 40mm^2 platinum/gold electrode and one 40mm^2 platinum electrode that connects off the insert to a sealed Ag/AgCl electrode. Silver contamination is an issue, so we’d be keen to know if you have solutions for reference electrodes made of Pt + Ag/AgCl in a sealed reservoir. The substrate needs to be biocompatible & robust, preferably a polymer. The insert needs a means of connecting, such as an edge-connector or other suggested options. I would be keen to hear you existing or suggested solution ideas, to gauge feasibility and understand the cost. We can design the exact layout of the electrode once we have heard what is feasible.

Question Three – wearable hormone sensors, – in adrenaline, oxytocin, vasopressin, beta-endorphins, neuropeptide Y and endocannabinoids AEA and 2-AG.

Question Four – Description : glucose, lactate, sodium, potassium, oxygen and pH sensors? Would you also provide information on the type of the media the sensors can operate in.

Question Five – custom screen-printing of carbon, platinum and silver electrode, PET  40 mm x 10 mm 300 micrometers
